Ann Marie Bauer
I majored in Mathematics at Cal Poly, where I met my future husband, David Bauer. We moved to Covelo, and I fell in love with ranch life. When my children were old enough to go to school, I taught at the Christian School at a Jr. High level, a multi-level class room ranging anywhere from grades 4 to 10. At that time, I did not have a regular credential.
After the Christian School closed down, I began to substitute teach at the Round Valley Elementary/Middle and High School. When I substituted for math, physics and chemistry classes, I realized I would really like to teach these subjects, and felt strongly enough about this to get a regular credential through Cal State Teach. I loved teaching math and physical science.
I was moved to the elementary school several years ago, where I have taught 6th and 7th grades.
I love ranching, cows, horses, dogs and cats. I love hunting cows in the mountains and exploring old trails. I love music, guitar and singing. I love participating at the Catholic Church in town. I love writing stories. I love my students.
