I am originally from Queens, New York, but spent most of my childhood and young adulthood in Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, I spent the next 20 years teaching special education in Connecticut, Arizona, California, Oregon, Florida, and Nevada. I spent the next ten years as a teacher and administrator in Reno, Nevada and Compton, California. Throughout those years I dedicated my time working with Gangs and the Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) department out of Washington, DC, Northern Nevada, and southern California as well as national level gang resistance education.
I am so excited and grateful to be a part of the Covelo/ Round Valley community- I look forward to many years of working side by side with the youth and community of the Valley.
