Hello! My name is Chris Thomas and I am the California State Board of Education appointed State Trustee and the Superintendent for Round Valley Unified School District. I have worked 35 years in the field of education, and have been a special education teacher (resource specialist, special day class teacher, teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students, and teacher for students with severe emotional needs), a speech and language pathologist, a Director of Special Education and Curriculum and Instruction, and a school site, district, and county level administrator. I am excited to be working in Round Valley with the dedicated district and school staff! We will be working hard to help our students increase their learning!!
I am fortunate to have a great family that consists of two daughters and my husband of 37 years. I have moved to Covelo, and love the beauty of the valley and the friendliness of the community! I look forward to working together with families and the community as we strive to move the district in a positive direction!
